How to Enable Developer Options on Firestick

Follow these steps to enable Developer Options on your Amazon Firestick:

Step 1: Turn on Your Firestick

  • Make sure your Firestick is connected and powered on.

Step 2: Open Settings

  • From the Home Screen, navigate to “Settings” (⚙️ gear icon).

Step 3: Select “My Fire TV”

  • Scroll down and select “My Fire TV” (on some devices, it may be called “Device & Software”).

Step 4: Enable Developer Options

If you don’t see “Developer Options”, follow these steps:

  1. Select “About”
  2. Highlight “Fire TV Stick” (or your device name).
  3. Press the “OK” button on your remote 7 times quickly.
  4. A message will appear saying “You are now a developer!”
  5. Go back to “My Fire TV”, and you will now see “Developer Options”.

Step 5: Turn on ADB Debugging & Apps from Unknown Sources

  • Select “Developer Options”
  • Turn ON both:
    ADB Debugging (for remote access & debugging)
    Apps from Unknown Sources (to install third-party apps)
